Jorge Mario Escobar

Actor, director and teacher

I met Angelo being his teacher at the Theater Ensemble during the first semester of 2017 when we ventured to stage, in clown key, some scenes from the play "Terror and Misery of the Third Reich" by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht. The challenge was not easy, but from the beginning Angelo stood out as a student willing to accept the proposals that the process required. His ability to listen allowed him to develop with great dexterity in the proposed scenes. I pleasantly remember how, in an exemplary manner, he accompanied and supported the process of Felipe, a student who had just entered the professional cycle and who had several moments of anguish during the trip, but the friendly voice and the professional accompaniment that Angelo gave him made everything come to a happy ending. I understand that Felipe is no longer at the university and they still communicate with each other. Angelo is an artist who leaves his mark.

Catalina Del Castillo

Actress, director and teacher

I met Angelo in Principles of Acting I, from the beginning of his journey in the Performing Arts career I could notice his passion for acting and a great curiosity to develop independent creative projects. In our first teaching-learning experiences I could sense a certain resistance to the proposals of the class that were articulated around the exploration of the pre-expressive principles of acting that precede the creation of characters or the assembly of theatrical texts: I perceived a certain eagerness to enter fully into what today I believe were his expectations of the craft. However, his adaptation process was fast, in the articulation of the different subjects of the Basic Cycle, Angelo was understanding the profile of the program and disposing himself in a more and more receptive way.
